Xiaomi is gloriously leading the Indian smartphone market with a share of 7.4%.


Manu Jain recently got featured on the cover of Forbes India for Xiaomi India’s achievements. Xiaomi has shipped 27.6 million smartphones globally in Q3 2017 according to sources.

On 10 December 2017, at an event in China, Xiaomi launched the budget phones: Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus with Bezel-less display design and an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Redmi 5 is powered by a 3300mAh battery while Redmi 5 plus has a 4000mAh battery. Both the phones have a metal unibody, stylish round corners, fingerprint scanner on the back and MIUI 9 software.

They are expected to be launched in India in early 2018.

  • Price : 7,800 INR approx for 2GB + 16 GB variant and 8,800 INR for 3GB + 32GB.

  • Battery : 4,000mAh
  • Powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked up at 2GHz.
  • Camera : 12megapixel rear and 5megapixel front with selfie flash.
  • Colors : Black, Blue, Pink and Gold.
